The Hon. Commissioner for information in Ebonyi State, Jude Chikadibia Okpor on behalf of people of the State congratulates the first lady and wife of the Governor, Chief Mrs Uzoamaka Mary-Mauldline Ogbonna Nwifuru as she celebrates her birthday today.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Jude Okpor described Chief Mrs Uzoamaka Mary-Mauldline Ogbonna Nwifuru as a quintessential and people-oriented leader whom the people of Ebonyi State are proud of, having demonstrated uncommon sagacity through her numerous campaigns and advocacy against trafficking in persons, child abuse, street hawking, social vices and women inclusiveness in governance in the state these few months in an exemplary and dignified manner.

“Birthdays happen every year—moments of appreciation and self-recollection of the Lord’s goodness—but those of special persons like you who sacrifice so much to serve humanity become our reference point, and so challenge and charge us into hard-work from our own modest standpoint.

Your Excellency, the humility and commitment with which you have stepped into the welfare of women, children etc decisively as the First Lady are lessons for us all on the virtuous concept of leadership.

I am still amazed by the passion and unrelenting effort you put into ensuring the immediate and safe return of Ebonyi children reportedly missing or abandoned anywhere in the country, particularly those of Anambra and Lagos states.

You indeed deserve our consistent and fervent prayers, support and co-operation always, even as we look towards the future with justified optimism, and guaranteed assuredness.
