As Principals and Ppsmb staff commends Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for prompt intervention
Going by the recent media outrage and revelations against the Enugu State Chairman of The Post Primary School Management Board,(PPSMB), The administration of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, has set up a committee to investigate all the allegations against the PPSMB Boss and make recommendations on the possible solutions .
According to the information gathered by our correspondents, the Committee is headed by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof Simon Ortuanya with 4 others as members.
It was gathered that, the PPSMB Chairman, Chief Mrs Favour Ugwuanyi has been accused of all manners of illegalities as well as larceny.
Speaking with our correspondent on the condition of anonymity, a top member of the committee said, the allegations are weighty which prompted the expeditious intervention of the state Government.
He stated that, the Committee just within 2days of it’s inauguration, received over 25 petitions against Dame Ugwuanyi; with all talking about administrative rascality and financial malfeasance.
According to him, “Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has directed us to investigate all the allegations against the PPSMB Boss and profer solutions”
“The truth is that, the woman from all indications has stepped on toes of a lot of people who are unanimously seeking for justice”
“some of the allegations which came with proves are weighty, loathsome and direful”
” Based on how it has been so far, it seems that, she has used her surname as well as office, to wrong countless number people that, someone in the first instance, could think they are just mere allegations but unfortunately, they are not .
“You can imagine someone accused her of using her office to collect millions of naira from some PDP Gubernatorial aspirants in the name of helping them to get ticket Infact, 1 from Nkanụ West was mentioned”
” A contractor said, he is being owed over ₦30, million naira by the woman on behalf the agency amongst other issues that have nothing to do with her administrative duties”
Also speaking on the condition of anonymity , a top administrative staff of the board, stated that, she is surprised that all these are coming very late as she had expected the backslashes long time ago.
According to her ” People come here everyday to complain against madam”
“These are people that, she gave contracts to do, but refused to pay. Some are people she sold lands to with fake documents, some are people with political issues. The truth is that, madam Don commit much.”
“Those who bought lands from her and also those who paid to Deraa her last born inside his private account are all after her”
“Some had thought she is Governor’s relation not knowing that, she isn’t”
“If I open letters coming from principals, you will know that, madam has done more harm than good to our secondary schools “
“Forget about all those boys that she paid to promote her, she doesn’t have any goodwill amongst us, her board members, school principals, teachers and so on”
Also speaking, a school principal who addressed his name as John, said, Mrs Ugwuanyi has done more harm to the education sector than anyone can think of.
‘This is a woman who hire and fires principals at will “
” A woman who appoints a level 13 teacher as principal ahead of a level 16 officer “
” This woman has divided the Enugu State chapter of the Nigerian Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPPS), created a separate WhatsApp group just to make sure that, no body talks bad about her”
“Most of these atrocities, she committed them using the name of the Governor ;which I believe, is why a lot of people are afraid of her”
“We have been waiting for Governor, her brother to finish his tenure so that we can make our grievances known ‘
” I am very happy with Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for intervening in the matter because, based on the integrity of the committee members, justice would be done “
“This is a sign that, he isn’t aware of all these monstrous and vicious acts perpetrated by Mrs Favour Ugwuanyi with his name”
“If Enugu teachers had known, we wouldn’t have voted against him”
